Roamer 2.0 Overview
The Roamer 2.0 is the mid drive in the Rambo line, and that is the whole point of it. A hub motor pushes from the wheel at one fixed ratio. The Roamer's Bafang 750W drives the crank, so it works through the 8 speed drivetrain and changes its ratio every time you shift.
Drop a gear on a loose, steep climb and the motor keeps its torque instead of bogging down. That is what gets a loaded bike up a grade a hub drive would struggle with, and it is why this is the one to take when you are pulling a trailer or carrying a hundred pounds of gear.
It rolls on Kenda all terrain 24 x 4.0 Kevlar anti puncture tires, on a high grade 6061 T6 aluminium frame, with a 300 lb load capacity and a battery you can size to the ride.
MID-DRIVE, NOT HUB
Most electric hunting bikes put the motor in the wheel. The Roamer puts it at the crank. Running through the Box 8 speed derailleur means the motor gets the same mechanical advantage you do, so the steeper it gets the more you have in reserve.
Total nominal output is 750W with a 1,000W peak rating, and a thumb throttle on the bar for when you want power without pedalling. Logan 2 piston hydraulic brakes bring it back down.

BUILT TO HAUL
A 300 lb load capacity, a metal rear rack rated for real weight, and Kevlar anti puncture tires. The Roamer is set up to carry gear over rough ground, or to pull a trailer out to a stand and back with firewood on it.
PDW fenders come fitted, front and rear with the Mud Shovel, so wet ground stays on the ground instead of on you.

Questions before buying
Why a mid drive instead of a hub motor?+
A hub motor sits in the wheel and turns it at one fixed ratio. The Roamer's Bafang 750W drives the crank, so it runs through the 8 speed drivetrain and changes ratio every time you shift. On a steep, loose climb you drop a gear and the motor keeps its torque instead of bogging down. It matters most when the bike is loaded.
15Ah or 20Ah, which battery should I pick?+
Rambo rates the 15Ah at up to 48 miles and the 20Ah at up to 65. Those are pedal assist figures. If you ride a long way from the truck, in cold weather, or with a trailer, take the 20Ah. Choose it in the battery option above.
Is it street legal?+
It ships with Rambo's Adjustable Class Setting in the display, so the rider can cap the bike at Class 1, 2 or 3 limits. Unrestricted it will do up to 28 mph. Class rules are set locally, so check what your state and your trail system allow before you ride.
How much can it carry?+
Load capacity is 300 lbs, rider and gear together. The metal rear rack is built for real weight, and the Kevlar anti puncture tires are there so a loaded bike does not end the day with a flat.
How much does it weigh?+
75 lbs with the battery removed. The 15Ah pack adds 9 lbs and the 20Ah adds 12. Take the battery out before lifting it onto a rack.
How much assembly is needed?+
Rambo ships the bike almost fully assembled. Final setup takes a few minutes and needs no specialty tools.
Does it have a throttle?+
Yes, a thumb throttle on the handlebar, alongside pedal assist.
