We offer free shipping on all orders over $200 — since most of our bikes qualify, the majority of orders ship completely free! For orders under $200, shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location.
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days and delivery usually takes about one week from the date of purchase. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships.
Please note that we currently only ship within the United States. We do not offer international shipping at this time.
All bikes arrive 85% assembled out of the box. Basic assembly is required — typically attaching the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and seat.
We strongly recommend having your bike professionally assembled by a local bike shop. A professional build ensures everything is properly torqued, aligned, and safe to ride. Some brands require proof of professional assembly for the warranty to be valid, so a pro build protects both your safety and your warranty coverage.
Every bike purchased from Belcopia comes with the official manufacturer's warranty — the same warranty you'd receive buying directly from the brand. Warranty terms (duration, coverage, exclusions) vary by brand.
For full warranty details on your specific bike, please visit our Warranty Page.
To register your warranty, simply email us at support@belcopia.com with your order number and bike details — we'll handle the registration for you.
Your e-bike battery is the most important (and most expensive) component. Follow these tips to maximize its lifespan:
- Charge regularly — Don't let the battery fully drain to 0%. Try to recharge when it reaches 20–30%.
- Avoid extreme temperatures — Store and charge your battery between 50°F–77°F (10°C–25°C). Don't leave it in a hot car or outside in freezing weather.
- Use the included charger only — Third-party chargers can damage the battery or void your warranty.
- Store at 40–70% charge — If you won't be riding for a few weeks, store the battery at a partial charge rather than fully charged or fully drained.
- Keep it dry — While most e-bike batteries are water-resistant, avoid submerging or pressure-washing directly around the battery and electrical connections.
- Charge after every ride — Lithium-ion batteries have no "memory effect," so frequent partial charges are perfectly fine and actually better for longevity.
E-bike laws vary by state. Most of the U.S. follows a three-class system:
- Class 1 — Pedal-assist only, motor cuts off at 20 mph. Allowed almost everywhere, including most bike paths.
- Class 2 — Throttle-powered, max speed 20 mph. Allowed on roads and most bike lanes; some trails restrict throttle use.
- Class 3 — Pedal-assist only, motor cuts off at 28 mph. Typically allowed on roads and bike lanes but restricted from multi-use trails. Some states require a helmet for Class 3 riders.
Do I need a license or registration?
In most states, no — e-bikes that meet the class definitions are treated like regular bicycles and do not require a driver's license, registration, or insurance. However, the following states may require a license or have special requirements: Alabama, Alaska, Connecticut, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, and West Virginia.
Helmet laws:
25 states plus Washington D.C. have some form of helmet requirement for e-bike riders. Connecticut, Maryland, West Virginia, Massachusetts, and Louisiana require helmets for all ages. Many other states require helmets for riders under 16 or 18. Regardless of the law, we always recommend wearing a helmet.
Important: Laws change frequently. We strongly recommend checking your local and state regulations before riding. PeopleForBikes maintains an up-to-date state-by-state guide.
We want you to be happy with your purchase. Items can be returned for a refund within 30 days from the date of delivery.
To be eligible for a return:
- The bike must be unused and in the same condition you received it
- It must be in the original packaging
Please note: The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Since e-bikes are large and heavy, return shipping can be significant — please keep this in mind before requesting a return. We have a warehouse to receive returns, so the process is straightforward once shipping is arranged.
To start a return, email us at support@belcopia.com with your order number and reason for return.
Orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days. You will receive a dispatch email with tracking info when your order ships — please check your spam/junk folder just in case.

Please contact us as soon as possible at (800) 674-9351 or support@belcopia.com. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we'll do our best to accommodate cancellations or changes. Once an order has shipped, we're unable to make modifications.
If your order has taken longer than 15 business days from dispatch, please contact us and we'll look into it right away. We offer a Money Back Guarantee or will have your order resent.
There's a good chance our email ended up in your spam or junk folder — please check there first. If you still can't find it, contact us and we'll resend it right away.
Your tracking number will be included in your dispatch confirmation email. If you haven't received it, check your spam folder or contact us at support@belcopia.com and we'll send it over.

Absolutely! We offer a 100% price match guarantee. If you find the same bike at a lower price from another authorized retailer, simply send us the link to the competitor's product page and we'll match — or even beat — their price.
This applies to other authorized dealers only (not marketplace sellers like Amazon or eBay). Contact us at support@belcopia.com with the competitor's URL and we'll take care of the rest.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, as well as PayPal.
Financing available: We also offer financing through Affirm, which lets you split your purchase into monthly payments. You can check your eligibility at checkout with no impact to your credit score.
If your card is declined, don't worry — simply contact us and we'll help you out.
