Magicycle Jaguarundi 2.0
Fold It in Ten Seconds. Go Anywhere.
"Your next trip starts when you pop the trunk."
The Magicycle Jaguarundi 2.0 is the most capable folding fat tire electric bike in the Magicycle lineup — built for riders who want to go farther without committing to a full-size bike. A 750W rear hub motor with 86 Nm of torque runs through a switchable torque and cadence sensor system, putting real power behind every pedal stroke whether you are on pavement, gravel, or a sandy beach path.
The 48V 15Ah battery delivers 60+ miles of range in a frame that folds in 10 seconds and weighs 60 lbs — light enough to carry into an elevator, compact enough to fit in the back of most sedans. The Jaguarundi 2.0 folding e-bike ships with a rear rack, front and rear fenders, integrated lights, bell, and kickstand. Everything you need to ride is in the box.
"The switchable sensor system on the Jaguarundi 2.0 is worth understanding before you ride. In cadence mode the motor delivers consistent assist based on pedaling rhythm — easier, more predictable, better for flat commutes. In torque mode the motor reads how hard you push and responds proportionally — more intuitive, more efficient, better for mixed terrain. Most folding e-bikes ship with one or the other. Having both with a single-button toggle gives you a meaningful range of ride characters in the same bike."
BUILT FOR RIDERS WHO
- Your apartment has no room for a full-size bike but you want more range than a scooter can give you
- You drive to trailheads, beaches, or campsites and want a bike that fits in the trunk without a rack
- You want fat tire capability for variable terrain without the bulk and weight of a standard fat bike
- You have been eyeing folding e-bikes but wanted one with real hydraulic brakes, a suspension fork, and a torque sensor — not a budget build
FOLD THE FRAME. NOT THE SPECS.
Full-Size Components in a Bike That Fits in Your Trunk
Most folding e-bikes make compromises to hit the fold. Smaller wheels, mechanical brakes, cadence-only sensors, budget motors. The Jaguarundi 2.0 starts with 20" x 4" fat tires and a front suspension fork, then adds Tektro 180mm hydraulic disc brakes and a switchable torque sensor — the same spec tier you find on full-size fat tire bikes at $1,500+. The folding mechanism is the convenience. The components are the substance.
The 3-step fold takes roughly 10 seconds: release the handlebar lock, press the frame latch, hold the red button and fold. Unfolded in the same time. At 60 lbs it is not ultralight — but for the motor, battery, and component spec it delivers, it is competitive with anything in its price class.
SWITCH THE SENSOR.
Torque Mode or Cadence Mode — One Button Toggle
Torque sensors and cadence sensors are fundamentally different riding experiences. Cadence sensors fire the motor when the pedals move — consistent and predictable. Torque sensors read how hard you push and respond in proportion — more natural feel, better efficiency, faster response. Most e-bikes ship with one. The Jaguarundi 2.0 ships with both and lets you toggle between them on the fly.
The practical result is a bike that works well for two different types of riders — and two different types of days. Flat commute in the city with predictable power delivery. Trail or beach ride where you want the motor to respond to your effort. Same bike, same button, different character. At the $999 price point this sensor pairing is genuinely rare.

WHY THIS BUILD MATTERS
Folding e-bikes are a category full of compromises. Here is where the Jaguarundi 2.0 refuses to make them.
Hydraulic Brakes Are Non-Negotiable
Mechanical disc brakes require cable tension management and degrade over time. Hydraulic brakes self-adjust, require almost no maintenance, and deliver consistent stopping power in rain, mud, or sustained downhill. On a fat tire bike carrying a rider at 25 mph, this is a safety spec — not a luxury upgrade.
Switchable Sensors Extend Range
Torque mode is more efficient than cadence mode because the motor only works as hard as you do. On a 60+ mile battery, switching to torque mode on flat sections and cadence mode on climbs can meaningfully extend real-world range. The toggle exists for a reason — use it.
Fat Tires on a Folding Bike
20" x 4" fat tires give the Jaguarundi a contact patch and stability profile that standard 20" folding tires cannot match. Sand, gravel, packed trail, and light snow all become rideable. For a bike that goes everywhere, the tires have to handle everywhere.

How does the switchable sensor work?
Press the button on the display to toggle between torque mode and cadence mode. Torque mode reads how hard you pedal and scales motor output proportionally — more intuitive feel, better efficiency. Cadence mode delivers consistent assist based on pedaling rhythm regardless of force — more predictable, good for flat commutes. You can switch any time while riding.
How compact is the Jaguarundi 2.0 when folded?
Folded package dimensions are approximately 153 cm × 36 cm × 83 cm (60" × 14" × 33"). It fits in the trunk of most mid-size sedans, SUVs, and pickup trucks. It weighs 60 lbs — manageable to lift and load solo.
What terrain can the Jaguarundi 2.0 handle?
The 20" × 4" fat tires and front suspension fork handle pavement, gravel, hardpacked trail, sand, and light snow. It is not a full mountain bike — steep technical singletrack with loose rocks is not its natural environment. For mixed-surface adventures, campsite access, beach rides, and urban commuting, it handles well.
What is the real-world range?
Magicycle rates the 48V 15Ah battery at 60+ miles on pedal assist. Real-world range depends on your weight, terrain, assist level, and whether you use torque or cadence mode. Flat riding in a lower assist level will approach or exceed 60 miles. Heavy throttle use on climbs with a loaded rack will reduce that. Budget for 40–50 miles in mixed real-world conditions.
Does it come with accessories?
Yes. The Jaguarundi 2.0 ships with a rear rack, front and rear fenders, front and tail lights, bell, kickstand, left and right pedals, and a repair tool kit. Everything is included in the box.
