Full Manufacturer Backing: State Bicycle Co.
Every bike we sell carries State Bicycle Co.’s own Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects, from the date you receive it. It covers the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Standard coverage, on every bike:

  • 5 years, frame and fork: steel, aluminium and titanium frames and forks.
  • 1 year, carbon frame and fork: extended to 2 years under ProBuild, below.
  • 1 year, components: non-consumable parts — crankset, pedals, bars, stem, seatpost, wheels, hubs and carbon forks.
  • 18 months, eBike system: motor, electronics and battery.

ProBuild: optional, free, and worth doing
ProBuild is not something you buy and it is not required for your warranty to be valid. It is an upgraded tier State unlocks when any professional bike shop assembles the bike and you register it with State within 30 days of delivery. Your local shop counts.

  • Carbon frames and forks go from 1 year to 2 years.
  • Priority claim review, ahead of unregistered bikes.
  • Free or discounted shipping on approved warranty parts.
  • Discounted replacement pricing for up to 5 years, even when the damage is a crash rather than a defect.

What is not covered
Normal wear and tear on any bike: tires, tubes, chains, brake pads, grips, bar tape, saddles, spokes, and paint or cosmetic finish. Nor is crash and impact damage, improper assembly or adjustment, lack of maintenance, modifications, or incompatible parts. Shop labour is the rider’s responsibility under either tier. RAW finish steel frames are not covered against rust — that is the finish behaving as intended.

Hassle-free registration
Don’t sweat the paperwork. Email your proof of assembly and order details to support@belcopia.com and our team will handle the registration with State for you, so the ProBuild tier is active before you need it. You will need your serial number, which is engraved on the underside of the bottom bracket shell.

Fit

Find your size

Sizes overlap on purpose. Between two, the smaller rides more upright and the larger stretches you out. Every size shares a 434mm chain stay, a 45mm fork offset, a 65mm bottom bracket drop and a 170mm crank, so the handling stays consistent across the range. State also publish an inseam range per size, from 26.5 to 28.5 inches on the 46cm up to 35 to 37 inches on the 62cm.

Geometry
4130 Single Speed

4130 Single Speed Overview

The State Bicycle Co. 4130 in Hammered Powder Coat is a double butted 4130 chromoly steel fixed gear and single speed bike at $579.99. State list it at 23 lb 7 oz for a 55cm with riser bars. The frame is TIG welded with a wishbone rear end shaped around a 38c tire, and it carries rack mounts on the fork and the seat stays.

It is geared 46x16 on a sealed bearing flip flop hub, and both cogs come with it: a 16T freewheel on one side and a fixed cog on the other. Welgo alloy pedals are in the box too. You can ride it fixed on day one, flip the wheel to coast, and buy nothing extra to do either.

You choose the cockpit at checkout: 600mm wide riser bars with a 30mm rise, or All-Road drop bars with an 18 degree flare, 500mm at the drops and 420mm across the tops. Skip it if you want gears or disc brakes.

Standards you can build on

Every interface on this bike is an established size. 27.2mm seatpost, 31.8mm bar clamp, 68mm English threaded bottom bracket, a 130 BCD chainring, 100mm front and 120mm rear spacing, and a flip flop hub threaded for a standard freewheel. You can service this bike with parts anyone stocks.

DOUBLE BUTTED 4130 CHROMOLY

The frame and fork are double butted 4130 chromoly, the tube walls thinned in the middle and left thick at the joints, which is how a steel frame stays strong without carrying the weight everywhere. Frames run from 3,230g on a 46cm to 3,570g on a 62cm, and the fork is a segmented 1 1/8 inch chromoly design with a 45mm offset.

The rear end is a wishbone, shaped to clear a 700 x 38c tire, and the dropouts are horizontal with integrated chain tensioners, which is how you set chain tension without a derailleur. Cable routing runs outside the frame, so a cable change is a five minute job rather than a fishing exercise.

YOU PICK THE BARS

Handle Bars is an option at checkout, not an upgrade with a price on it. The wide riser bar is 600mm across with a 30mm rise, which sits you upright with a wide lever for traffic. The All-Road drop bar flares 18 degrees, 420mm across the tops and 500mm at the drops, which gives you a low position on the road and a wide, stable one when the surface turns loose.

Both builds share the same frame, the same 90mm 3D forged stem and the same long reach calipers, so the only thing that changes is where your hands sit. State list the riser build a little lighter at every size. The brake levers differ to match: a 22.2mm clamp on the risers, 31.8mm on the drops.

Belcopia Support

We are an authorized State Bicycle Co. dealer, so every bike is backed by State’s own warranty. Questions before or after the sale, call or text 718.808.6415, Monday to Friday.

Questions before buying

Does the 4130 come with a freewheel, or only a fixed cog?

Both, and you do not have to buy either. State ship a 16T freewheel and a fixed gear cog with the bike, one threaded onto each side of the flip flop hub. Ride it fixed, or flip the rear wheel around to coast. Welgo alloy pedals are included as well.

What is the widest tire that fits?

It ships on 700 x 38c tires, and the wishbone rear end is shaped around them. State list 45c as the maximum width and 25c as the minimum. The rims are tubeless capable once you add rim tape and sealant, but the tires fitted from the factory are not tubeless rated.

How much does the 4130 weigh?

State list 23 lb 7 oz for a 55cm with riser bars on their product page. Their spec guide gives the full range in kilograms, from 9.1kg on a 46cm with risers up to 12.2kg on a 62cm with drop bars. Frame sets alone are 3,230g to 3,570g.

Do the riser bars and the drop bars cost the same?

Yes. Handle Bars is an option on the product, not a paid upgrade, so both builds are $579.99. The riser is 600mm wide with a 30mm rise. The All-Road drop bar flares 18 degrees, 420mm across the tops and 500mm at the drops. Brake levers are matched to whichever bar you choose.

Can I fit a rack or fenders?

State build this frame with rack mounts on the fork and on the seat stays, which is what makes it an all rounder rather than a track bike. Cable routing runs outside the frame and the bottom bracket is English threaded, so a shop can service it without special tools.

Is this bike good for gravel?

Within reason, yes. State describe it as suited to poorly maintained city roads, gravel paths and light trails. The 38c tires, the 434mm chain stays and the All-Road drop bar option are all aimed at that. It has rim brakes and one gear, so steep loose climbs and long descents are not what it is for.

What size should I get?

State list the 46cm for riders 5 foot 3 to 5 foot 6, the 49cm for 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 8, the 52cm for 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 10, the 55cm for 5 foot 9 to 6 foot, the 59cm for 5 foot 11 to 6 foot 3, and the 62cm for 6 foot 2 to 6 foot 7. Sizes overlap on purpose. Between two, the smaller rides more upright.
