Wulf - Core-Line

I recently purchased my new Lucky Penny. In the week I’ve owned it I’ve ridden over 100 miles. It’s my fourth bicycle. My others are a Mountain Bike, Gravel Bike and a Fat Bike. My Core Line is a simple bicycle, fast as a rocket, easy to put together and I can’t believe in 30 years of cycling I’ve never owned a track bike. I’m hooked, it’s awesome!

I bought this bike for a friend who wanted a single speed bike. I wanted a winter project bike. The price was right. The bike arrived with minimal cosmetic damage to the wheel rims from shipping. I am an experienced home bike mechanic so went ahead and I totally disassembled the bike down to the frame. I inspected the bike and then did a complete ground up build back up to my standards. The bike needed a lot of lubrication and adjustments. Many components as shipped where over tightened, dry and poorly adjusted. This is the same experience that I have when I buy bikes from my local bike stores. This bike rebuild project took several several days to complete. The bike build and test ride are now completed and the bike looks and rides great. I agree that this bike should be assembled and adjusted by a professional or experienced bike mechanic to function safely. When you get the bike back from the mechanic check it over yourself and learn how to maintain your own bike. The bike components are standard so bike maintenance, component replacement and upgrades are easy.

so I've been gifted this bike from a friend and I so pleased to say wow this bike is so smooth of a ride I couldn't be more happier I put 35c on the rims to max out the clearance and it looks so nice and makes the ride smoother I'm pleased with the brand and styling of the frame

what's not to like about this bike? Looks great with traditional absolutely horizontal top tube; sexy 28" wheels with cream accent; quality nicely turned out hardware for calipers, hinged brake levers easily removed without unwrapping bar, head set, seat post, cranks and chain ring; bullhorn bar looks cool but not a good fit for me so i flipped it 180 or so and now fits me proper, bar is nicely wrapped; some folks fuss about the skinny tires at 100 psi but really rides nice bone stock; some folks fuss about untrue wheels, mine came absolutely true as north star; i prefer a center mount kickstand for my use, a greenfield KS2 mounts perfectly; some folks fuss about the stock seat, it is perfectly fine, i wouldn't change it if offered an upgrade; bike came shipped very well packed and protected; self assembly easy with 3 allen wrenches and 14mm end wrench - rear wheel came mounted for free wheel as i prefer so no need to remove or chainwhip fixie cog; blue paint is flawless, welds nicely blended - i've always preferred lugged frames but for $395+bar upgrade i settled for welds. stock pedals admittedly too basic looking , likely i'll upgrade them later. i'm 5'8'' the medium bike size perfect for me. this is my first single speed adult sized bike after several 10-12 speeds but here on texas coastal plain it's so flat i stay in one gear anyhow, the rigby gearing is just right. And Belcopia beats all other State Bicycle vendors on price, customer service is top notch. thanks Nelson

I always wanted a fixed gear. Black Friday deal was too good to pass up. I love how the Rigby looks. The tan wheels with the blue frame. Classic look. Bike arrived on time. Easy to assemble. I have a 4130 gravel bike. I have had good experiences State bikes. I would recommend the brand.

I keep up with my friends on their $5000+ bikes Just finished a 74-mile ride and this bike held up exceptionally well. My eight friends, all on Cannondale road bikes, raced a few laps around Central Park, and by the end of it I won… ON A $300 SINGLE SPEED. I get compliments on the color all the time and props for keeping up with people. That being said, it’s still heavy at 25 lbs versus someone’s 16 lb carbon fiber. In a battle of attrition you’ll wish you had a lighter bike, but if you’re not racing—especially commuting—it’s a great bike to try. Tighten the brakes because I got a rattle on mine after ~200 miles. If you get the bottle cage and Kryptonite lock, assume you won’t have any frame real estate left, so invest in a saddlebag you can tuck under the seat. I would also upgrade the seat. I make it work, but unless you have padded shorts, expect cobblestone streets to really turn your ass to ground beef. A BIG factor: peace of mind. I ride with a lot of people with expensive bikes, and they’re too afraid to lock their bikes or scratch them when setting them down or riding in riskier neighborhoods. There’s a convenient sense of “f*ck it” when locking your bike up somewhere because ultimately it wouldn’t be a huge loss. Now my significant other and I ride an average of 20 miles daily, in opposite directions. Riding these bikes gives us our much-needed time apart and a little break from each other.
