The Velowave Breeze T is a step through commuter e-bike with a torque sensor: a rear hub motor rated 500W, peaking at 960W with 65 N.m of torque, and a removable 48V 15Ah battery of LG cells, 720Wh, inside the down tube. Velowave quotes an average of 70 miles on pedal assist and up to 90 in level 1.
The torque sensor reads how hard you pedal and matches the assist to it, and the throttle works from a complete stop. Velowave lists it as Class 3: up to 28 MPH with pedal assist and 20 MPH on the throttle. A hydraulic fork with 100mm of travel and a lockout, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes on 180mm rotors, a Shimano Tourney 7 speed and Kenda 27.5 x 2.2 inch tires make it a smooth daily ride. It weighs 66 lb with the battery and carries 300 lb.
Aluminium fenders, an aluminium rear rack rated for 55 lb, a 90 lux headlight and a rear brake light come fitted. One size fits riders from 5'4" to 6'5". Want a torque sensor step through on fat tires? That is the Ranger Step-Thru 3.0.
Built to be lived with
A 6061 aluminium frame with the battery inside, a hydraulic suspension fork with 100mm of travel and a lockout, Tektro hydraulic discs on 180mm rotors, a Shimano Tourney 7 speed with a rotary shift lever and a 14 to 28 tooth freewheel, 170mm cranks on a 48 tooth chainring, a KMC anti rust chain, and Kenda 27.5 x 2.2 inch tires on 36 hole aluminium rims.
Aluminium fenders, an aluminium rear rack, a 90 lux LED headlight, a rear brake light, a backlit colour display, a wide comfort saddle and an alloy kickstand all come on the bike. Velowave covers the frame and electronics for two years, the battery for two years or 300 charge cycles, and mechanical parts for one.
The torque sensor measures how hard you press on the pedals and adds power in proportion. A light push gives a light lift; lean on it up a hill and the hub motor, rated 500W and peaking at 960W with 65 N.m, pushes back harder. Velowave says it gives instant, smooth assist that adapts to your riding style.
Five assist levels, from 1 to Sport, are set on the colour display, and the throttle pulls from a complete stop when you want it. Velowave quotes an average of 70 miles on pedal assist and up to 90 in level 1, measured with a 165 lb load on a level road at 86 degrees.

The step through frame keeps the top tube low, so you step in instead of swinging a leg over at every stop. Velowave says the adjustable handlebar lets you set your riding posture for comfort on short trips and long ones.
Aluminium fenders keep road spray off, the rear rack takes up to 55 lb, and the 90 lux headlight and rear brake light come fitted. The 48V 15Ah LG battery comes out of the frame to charge indoors on the 48V 2A charger in about 8 hours.

Velowave quotes an average of 70 miles on pedal assist, up to 90 miles in level 1 and 37 miles on the throttle alone, measured with a 165 lb load on a level road at 86 degrees. Hills, headwind, cold, a heavier load and the higher assist levels all bring it down.
Yes. The throttle works on demand, even from a complete stop. Velowave lists the Breeze T as Class 3: up to 28 MPH with pedal assist and 20 MPH on the throttle. Paths and trails set their own rules, so check where you ride.
It measures how hard you press on the pedals and adds power in proportion, so a gentle push gets a gentle lift and a hard push up a hill gets more. It feels closer to a normal bike than assist that simply switches on when the cranks turn.
The Breeze T comes in one size on 27.5 inch wheels, and Velowave fits it to riders from 5'4" to 6'5". The seat adjusts from 801mm to 1008mm, and the step through frame has a 696mm standover.
About 8 hours on the 48V 2A charger that comes with the bike. The 48V 15Ah LG battery weighs 8.37 lb and comes out of the frame, so you can charge it indoors. Velowave states the Breeze T is certified to UL 2849.
Velowave covers the frame and the electronics (motor, controller, display, charger and throttle) for two years, the battery for two years or 300 charge cycles, whichever comes first, and mechanical parts for one year, against manufacturing defects. We are an authorized dealer, so it applies.
