Magicycle Cruiser Pro 750W Mid-Step Fat Tire Electric Cruiser Bike

My Cruiser Pro helped me get out and enjoy the nature I was missing.

I live in Ann Arbor, MI, where biking is the best way to get around town. I had 2 e-bikes (both class 3 with 500 W motor) and 3 e-scooters (they are too unreliable to do daily commutes) before I bought this. I have some experience of how to work on bikes (it is hard to transfer this bike to a bike shop).

It rains a lot in Michigan, and it snows. It just makes huge sense to have an IPX6 bike if you need it for daily commutes. It can easily go up to 28 mph with very light pedaling. So far, I have 146 miles on the bike and nothing major has gone wrong. I needed to adjust the brakes and derailleur but that is standard. This is also very quiet (rattling-wise) compared to the other two.

There are three minor things I want to warn people about this bike. One is that when riding on the highest PAS level, the 20 Ah battery will go flat in 20-25 miles. But that is a price I am more than willing to pay for higher speed (about 1 dollar per month more in electricity than my bikes that go 20-23 mph). The other one is that if you don't have a seat post with suspension the ride is quite hard. I luckily have one from one of my other bikes. But for those people without one, it probably isn't pleasant. It really isn't Magicycle's fault, in my opinion; it is the Kenda puncture-resistant tires. And the third one, get a better light for yourself. Most standard e-bike and e-scooter lights are just pathetic.

Purchased the Cruiser Pro Mid Step-Thru in December 2022 for Christmas. My husband had purchased another brand the same day. His was already in the garage and we had already put a few miles on it when mine FINALLY arrived. I did a 'first impression' video on youtube and I will have a COMPLETE more detailed write up of the entire experience on my blog (wheelepicadventures.com) ---- but.... FOR THIS REVIEW....

It is a SOLID bike. It is built really well. The tires are AWESOME, even though they only had like 5psi in them, they felt ready to go. The twist throttle is cool, gives you the motorcycle feel. The display is nice and easy to read, wish it was moveable, navigation through the setup menus requires some patience. As a motorcycle rider the FUN and FAST is a great compliment. I really do enjoy riding this bicycle, did about 10miles today. The bike makes me feel like I am a kid again without all of the hard work on my old knees and legs. Our 'maiden voyage', and longest trip yet, was a 25 mile ride in Gulf Shores Alabama. Absolutely perfect! At the end, I was ready to go again.

It's not PERFECT though. Again, full disclosure on full blog soon. A few things to highlight. The seat spins when sitting on it. We have tightened everything. The basket, which took FOOOOREEEEVER to arrive, was a hard install and the cables hit the basket, the light relocation is less than perfect. The battery charging port plug cover won't go back on to cover the plug so I worry about moisture in the connector. I also have noticed rust on a few places that seems strange. 1 bolt on the handlebar is rusted, 1 peddle screw is rusted, 1 gear sprocket is rusted. IT HAS BEEN IN A GARAGE or UNDER A COVER.

It seems very tall even for a step through. Stepping through is almost impossible if you have a bottle holder on it. As a 5'7" 200# older woman, I can barely touch the ground seated and seat is all the way down, reflector removed. If you order accessories, be prepared to wait for a LONG, LONG, LONG time. The bike arrived December 9. The basket arrived December 17. The helmet arrived January 3 and the lock, speaker, mirrors and another light have not arrived as of yet. I have had SEVERAL chats with their online support to get tracking information and answer other questions along the way. I would have preferred to have gotten a spare battery at this point but wonder if it would have arrived any sooner?

I give it 4 stars because of the small things mentioned above and the customer service communication --- which needs major help.

This was a wise choice for me because I love going on wheel epic adventures and this eBike makes those adventures FUN and FAST!!

I like the ride after I put an aftermarket seat on it with Springs and a little more padding so far no problems I enjoy it very much and I even got a trailer for it so I can do grocery shopping with it. Grocery stores 3 miles away and I have quite a few Hills on the way back and it has no problems handling the hills even with a loaded trailer. I purchased the little Bluetooth speaker that also handles an Mini SD card I purchased two of them one for my motorcycle and the e-bike I can hear the music really good around town open Highway not so much on the motorcycle. But on the e-bike it works great.

I have wanted an E-bike for some time now due to lack of transportation. And I must say the extra freedom that this bike has added to my life has been amazing. And I am also blessed to live close to rail trails that can take me many places.

I ordered a Pearl White Magicycle Cruiser Pro Mid Step-Thru in March, 2025 and couldn't be happier. I have nearly 700 miles on it as of February 2026, and zero problems!

It's very powerful and is also a super bike for pedaling along (which is what I wanted). I get a better workout than with my regular bike, because I can pedal faster with less resistance and not get totally worn out and bogged down. Battery life is okay, but I do actually wish it was better. I'm told one can get about 25 miles on a charge with no pedaling. I always pedal a lot; after riding approx. 17 miles my battery will be at about 50-60%. 25 to 30 miles is about my max with the 20Ah battery. The bike's computer/display settings need to be adjusted to get top speed, which is factory limited to 20 mph. Mine will get up to 30-32mph downhill. For best battery life, pedaling along with about 50-60% PAS setting at roughly 20mph works quite well for me. This bike has a good twist-throttle, a necessity for me (some other e-bikes have a thumb throttle, very uncomfortable and impractical in my opinion and a definite deal-breaker). The gearing, shifters and other components are actually quite well-made, and better quality than similar components on my husband's e-bike of a different and more expensive brand.

I got a really great price ordering directly from Magicycle. The freebie mirrors, phone holder & rear bag are awesome (but they did take about 6 weeks to arrive, during which time I had no idea whether they were coming or not). I love the front basket. The rear rack basket I probably will not use often but it is nice to have although I am not very happy with its attachment method! The bike's seat is surprisingly comfortable, but I do use a slip-over cushion which helps even more. I ordered a suspension seat post and am VERY glad I did so. I am 5'6" and this bike fits me quite well, but for shorter people it is probably going to be too big to manage easily. My bike has been working great, I had about 200 miles on it when I originally wrote this in May 2025, and I don't think I could have chosen a better e-bike for myself. Magicycle's customer service has been quite good at responding to the few questions I have had.

I received the bike quickly and no damage. It was easy to put together, with tools required and the battery was fully charged.

I’m 6’4” and 275 lbs, this bike is well crafted and plenty of power. I tried the biggest hill we have, it climbed it at 14 mph with no assisted pedaling. Hill is bigger than it looks in the picture.

Very nice bike on and of the road. I would recommend to anyone who wants a thrill!

These bikes are AMAZING! My husband and I got the Cruiser Pros and we couldn't be happier. So we actually bought our first electric bikes on Amazon less than a year ago. We didn't really know anything when we bought them. Although he used his first one I never rode mine more than 10 feet after we assembled it. So he tried to convince me that these Magicycle ebikes would be a lot more comfortable for me and we should spend the money for the quality. I am very frugal and it was hard knowing we already bought the other 2 ebikes 10 months ago, but he was so sure and so excited about these that I agreed. It really did change everything. I LOVE my bike and now I am the one asking "So, where are we riding today?" It's very well built a thick, meaty bike. It's a little heavy for me to lift, but I wouldn't change it and would rarely if ever need to lift it. The shocks are so good and along with the thick tires I can ride over pinecones, medium sized sticks and even small curbs smoothly. The first day I'll admit I was a little fearful so I chose the settings with a lot of caution, keeping the speed well under what it can actually do. By the end of the hour I was so much more confident. Its been a couple of weeks of daily riding now and I'm very comfortable. I have changed the settings to allow a higher speed and more levels... This is something I love about the bike too, the settings are so easy I could do it myself. We have ordered some accessories (baskets and bags) to customize our bikes for commuting to work and I'm really excited to start as soon they arrive. If you're on the fence about this, I think they really are worth the price!
