Sole Bicycles e(24)

A Moto Silhouette That Is Still A Bicycle.

"It parks at a bike rack. It rides in a bike lane. It looks like neither of those things."

A moto silhouette that is still legally a bicycle. No plate, no registration, no insurance. The Sole e(24) runs a 750W hub motor and a 48V 15Ah UL 2271 battery to 28 mph, with 25 to 40 miles of range depending on class and how much you pedal. Tektro hydraulic discs, 24 by 3 inch tires and wired-in lights with a brake light. It rides low on 24 inch wheels and a long bench saddle, which is why it feels planted in a bike lane.

Skip it if you carry your bike upstairs or want gears for steep climbs. It weighs 57 lbs, it is single speed, and it wants a garage or a ground floor.

"Read the weight before you fall for the look. At 57 lbs this is not a bike you carry up three flights. It wants a garage, a ground floor or an elevator. Give it one and the 24 inch wheels and 3 inch tires make it the most planted thing in a bike lane."

KEY FEATURES

Rear hub motor on the silver el Tigre e(24) with orange rims

48V 750W Hub Motor

Rear hub drive rated 750W. Enough to hold 28 mph on flat pavement and pull away from a light without drama.

Battery pack mounted in the frame of a green Sole e(24)

UL 2271 Certified Battery

48V 15Ah pack, certified to the UL battery standard. About 4 hours to charge from empty.

Side view of the black Sole e(24) on 24 by 3 inch fat tires

24 x 3 Inch Innova Tires

Small diameter, wide footprint. Lower center of gravity than a 26 inch wheel and far more grip than a road tire.

Cockpit of a white Sole e(24) showing the brake levers and hydraulic lines

Tektro Hydraulic Disc Brakes

Hydraulic front and rear. You want these on a 57 lb bike that runs to 28 mph. Cable brakes are not enough here.

Handlebars of a black Sole e(24) with the round integrated front light

Integrated Lights With Brake Light

Front and rear lights are wired into the bike, and the rear doubles as a brake light. Nothing to strap on or charge separately.

Long black moto bench saddle and red rear light on a white Sole e(24)

Custom Moto Bench Saddle

One long padded bench instead of a bicycle saddle. It is what gives the bike its shape and it lets you shift position on a longer ride.

Do I need a license or registration for the e(24)?

No. It has pedals, a 750W motor and a 28 mph cap, which keeps it inside the three class electric bicycle rules used in most states. Class rules vary locally, so check your state and city before you ride it at Class 3 on a shared path.

How far will it actually go on a charge?

25 to 40 miles. You get the low end riding Class 3 on the throttle. You get the high end pedaling in a lower class on flat ground. Hills, rider weight and cold weather all pull the number down.

How heavy is it and can I carry it?

57 lbs. That is heavy. It fits a garage, a shed or a ground floor entry. If your only option is carrying it up stairs, this is the wrong bike.

Which frame size do I need?

Regular fits riders roughly 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 11 and wants at least a 28 inch inseam. Top tube height is 31.5 inches. Large fits 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 4 and runs $1,799. If you are right on 5 feet 11, go Large if you like a roomier reach and Regular if you want to put both feet down easily.

Which colors come in the Large frame?

The Overthrow and the Whaler. The other three colorways are Regular only, because that is how Sole builds them.

What does presale mean on the Overthrow and el Tigre?

Those two Regular frames are not in a warehouse yet. Sole has them arriving October 2026 and we ship as soon as they land. You are charged when you order, and you can cancel any time before it ships. Every other color is on hand now.

Is the battery certified?

Yes. The 48V 15Ah pack is UL 2271 certified, which is the standard that covers the battery itself. More buildings and cities are asking for this.

Does it have gears?

No. It is single speed with a 46/18 ratio. The motor does the work on hills instead of a derailleur. It keeps maintenance close to zero and there are no cables to adjust.

Which colors can I actually order?

Stock changes. Whatever is selectable on this page is what we can ship. Anything greyed out is sold out at the moment.
