The Solé Dutch Step Through is a single speed Dutch bike built for the ride to the market or the beach. The frame is high tensile steel, fully TIG welded, with Solé's swooping step through shape, so getting on and off is easy in any clothes.
You sit upright. Swept back city cruiser bars and an extra padded riveted saddle set the position, and Kenda 700 x 35c tires on double walled rims add comfort without making it slow. A 46T chainring drives an 18T coaster brake hub: one gear, and you pedal backwards to stop.
It weighs 28 lb, comes in one size for riders 5 foot 4 and up, and arrives with a chain guard cover and a kickstand. Solé rates it for pavement, flat ground and some hills. If your route is hillier, look at the three speed version.
Simple parts, backed by Solé
Every Dutch Step Through comes with a chain guard cover and a kickstand, an extra padded riveted saddle, swept back city cruiser bars and Solé Gripmasters grips with a woodgrain deboss. The brake is a coaster brake inside the rear hub, so there are no levers, cables or pads to look after.
Solé covers the frame and fork for five years against material and workmanship defects, for the original owner. Components, paint and decals sit outside that cover. Belcopia Bikes is an authorized Solé dealer, so it is Solé's own warranty.
The swooping step through frame drops low between the saddle and the bars, so you step through it instead of swinging a leg over. That makes stop and start riding in town easy.
Once you are on, the swept back city cruiser bars bring the grips back toward you and the extra padded riveted saddle carries your weight upright. It is a relaxed Dutch bike position, and the 700 x 35c tires keep it quick and responsive.

There are no gears and no shifter. A 46T chainring turns an 18T single speed hub, so you pedal, coast and pedal again without thinking about which gear you are in.
The brake lives inside that rear hub. Pedal backwards and the coaster brake slows you down. With no hand levers there are no cables on the bars, nothing to stretch and nothing to adjust, which is the whole point of a simple single speed bike.

High tensile steel, fully TIG welded, with reinforced dropouts. Easy on and easy off.

Pedal backwards to stop. The brake sits inside the 18T rear hub, so there are no wires.

A city cruiser saddle on a 25.4mm x 300mm seatpost, built for sitting upright.

City cruiser bars with Solé Gripmasters grips that bring your hands back for an upright ride.

Slightly larger tires for comfort on double walled 700c rims, still quick on pavement.

170mm alloy arms on a 5 bolt 130 BCD ring, turning a sealed bearing square taper bottom bracket.

The Palisades, the Harambe, the Kinney, the Wavecrest and the Pacific. Same frame and parts on all five.

One size. Solé fits it to riders 5 foot 4 and up, with a minimum inseam of 28 1/4 inches and a top tube height of 27 1/4 inches. Inseam matters more than height: you want at least an inch of clearance over the top bar with your feet flat on the ground. If you are under 5 foot 4, Solé strongly recommends getting sized at a bike shop before you buy.
You pedal backwards and the brake inside the rear hub slows you down. You can still coast with your feet still. Solé lists the coaster brake as this bike's brake, so there are no hand levers and no cables on the bars. If you want hand brakes, the Three Speed Dutch Step Through has front and rear hand brakes.
No. Solé lists a single speed coaster brake hub on this bike, so it coasts and it cannot be ridden fixed. If you want a flip flop hub, look at the Solé Single Speed / Fixed Gear.
It arrives 90% assembled, with the tools and instructions to finish the job. Solé says you screw in the pedals and the handlebars, fit the front wheel, drop in the seatpost and pump up the tires. Solé also suggests having a local bike shop look it over, though you can do it yourself.
Some. Solé rates it for pavement, flat ground and some hills. It has one gear, 46:18, so long or steep climbs are hard work. For a hillier route, the three speed version has an internal Shimano Nexus hub.
Solé lists it at 28 lb (12.7 kg). The suggested weight capacity Solé gives for its bicycles is 275 lb.
