Ausom F1 Max Overview
The Ausom F1 Max is a dual motor electric scooter: a 1400W hub motor in each wheel, 3840W together at peak, on a 60V 20.8Ah battery. Ausom rates it at 45 MPH and up to 62 miles.
It rides on a dual swingarm with four adjustable springs and 10 x 3 inch off road tires, and stops on hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with electronic braking. It folds at the stem, weighs 79.4 lb and carries riders up to 330 lb.
It is a heavy, fast scooter. If you carry it up stairs every day, look at something lighter.
Built to be lived with
A 6061 aluminium frame on a dual swingarm with four adjustable springs, a 21.2 x 9 inch deck and a 25.6 inch handlebar. Hydraulic discs front and rear, plus EABS that brakes with the motors.
A 4.5 inch LCD, head, tail and side lights, and unlocking by NFC card or passcode. The frame is covered for two years, the motor, controller and display for one, the battery for six months.
TWO MOTORS, 3840 WATTS
A 1400W hub motor drives each wheel, 1920W each at peak and 3840W together. Ausom rates the F1 Max at 45 MPH and a 38% grade, which is a steep driveway, not a gentle hill.
Three speed modes, and you choose single or dual motor. One motor for the commute and for range, both for the climb and the launch. A hidden menu sets a lower speed limit if you want one.

60 VOLTS, LIT FOR THE RIDE HOME
The battery is 60V 20.8Ah, 1248 watt hours. Ausom’s 62 miles is measured on one motor at 9.3 MPH with a 165 lb rider on flat ground. Ride both motors at speed and expect a good deal less.
There are two charging ports. One 67.2V 1.8A charger comes in the box and Ausom puts the charge at 6.5 to 13 hours. Headlights, a taillight and side lights are on the scooter for the ride home after dark.

FOUR SPRINGS, SET TO YOUR WEIGHT
Each wheel sits on a swingarm with two coil springs, four in all, and each spring adjusts. Set them soft for a smooth commute or firm for a heavier rider and rough ground.
Ausom builds the swingarm into a 6061 aluminium frame rated to 330 lb. The 10 x 3 inch tires at 50 PSI take the small hits before the springs take the big ones.

What it's made of
Six things that set it apart. Tap through them.

Dual motors
Two motors, 3840 watts
A 1400W hub motor in each wheel, 3840W together at peak. Run one motor for range and both for launches and hills.

Battery
60 volts, 1248 watt hours
A 60V 20.8Ah pack in the deck, good for up to 62 miles in Ausom's test. Two charging ports, so a second charger cuts the wait.

Anti theft
Locked until you unlock it
The F1 Max will not power on without its NFC card, your phone or your own 4 digit passcode.

Folding
Folds for the trunk
The stem folds down to the deck: 49.2 by 25.6 by 21.7 inches folded. It still weighs 79.4 lb, so plan to roll it more than carry it.

Wide deck
A 21.2 by 9 inch deck
Room for a staggered stance at speed, rated to carry riders up to 330 lb.

Lighting
Lit on every side
Headlights up front, a taillight behind and side lights along the deck, so drivers see you from the side too.
Size and dimensions
Fits riders 4'11" to 6'7" and carries up to 330 lb, per Ausom.

Questions before buying
Can I ride 45 MPH on the street?+
That depends on where you live. Scooter speed rules are set by states and cities, and many are well below 45 MPH. Ausom sells the F1 Max for riders 16 and over and asks you to follow local law. The hidden menu can cap the top speed as a percentage of the maximum.
How far does it really go?+
Ausom’s 62 miles is one motor at a steady 9.3 MPH with a 165 lb rider on flat, dry pavement. Riding both motors at speed, with hills or a heavier rider, you will get a fraction of that. It is still the biggest battery of the Ausoms we carry.
Can I ride it in the rain?+
The scooter is rated IP54 and the battery IPX5, so it handles splashes. Ausom still recommends not riding in rain, and water damage to the battery, motor or controller is not covered by the warranty.
Why two charging ports?+
So you can charge with two chargers at once. One comes in the box. Ausom puts a full charge at 6.5 to 13 hours, and a second charger is how you get to the short end.
What is the warranty?+
Ausom covers the frame for two years. The motor, controller, display, throttle, brakes, folding assembly, handlebar and lights are covered for one year, the battery and charger for six months, the wheels for 30 days, and tires, tubes and grips for 14 days. Water damage to the battery, motor or controller, crashes and modifications are excluded. We are an authorized dealer, so it applies.
