The State Bicycle Co. Carbon Road in Panda Pearl is a pearl white finish with raw carbon deliberately left exposed on the downtube, head tube logos and fork. The contrast makes clear exactly what the bike is made of. The 1x Aero Package pairs it with fully wireless 13-speed SRAM Rival XPLR AXS and an aero crank developed with SRAM that is sold nowhere else.
Removing the front derailleur saves around 150g and cleans up the front end. A 10 to 46t cassette keeps the range wide without it. This is the same 1x aero setup being raced in the Spring Classics, on a carbon road bike starting at $2,999.99.

State worked directly with SRAM to spec a custom 48t aero crank for the Rival XPLR groupset, available only through State Bicycle Co. The aero profile cuts drag and the 48t ring is sized for road and mixed surface riding.
It pairs with the 13-speed 10 to 46t cassette for a wide, seamless range with no front derailleur in the way. That is roughly 150g saved, one less cable, and a cleaner line from the head tube back.

Crank Length and Bar Width Change With the Frame
Most brands ship every size with the same 172.5mm cranks and wide bars. State worked with professional bike fitters to spec each size properly: 165mm cranks on XS through M, 170mm on L and XL, with bars stepping 38cm to 40cm and stems from 90mm to 110mm.
Shorter cranks reduce hip impingement and can improve power output; narrower bars match real shoulder widths. It means the bike fits from the first ride rather than needing parts swapped after a fitting.

Three Wheelsets at Checkout

T47 Threaded Bottom Bracket
Threaded rather than press fit, so it is stiffer, kinder to bearings and serviceable at home with a standard tool. No creaking two seasons in.
UDH Rear End
A universal derailleur hanger, stocked by nearly every bike shop. A bent hanger is a same day fix rather than a special order from one distributor.
Fully Internal Routing
Every cable disappears into the frame for a clean front end and reduced drag. Worth knowing this is also why professional assembly is strongly recommended.
Clearance for 32mm
It ships on Vittoria Corsa N.EXT 28c tubeless ready tires with room to run up to 32mm, so rough tarmac and light mixed surface days stay on the menu.

Which size should I choose?
XS 45cm fits riders 4 feet 11 to 5 feet 3, S 48cm fits 5 feet 3 to 5 feet 6, M 51cm fits 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9, L 54cm fits 5 feet 9 to 6 feet 1, and XL 56cm fits 6 feet 1 and above. Crank length, bar width and stem length all change with the size, so the fit is correct from the first ride.
Which wheelset should I pick?
The DT Swiss A1800 alloy set is included and is a genuinely good tubeless ready wheel at 1,691g. The ENVE AR40 is the lightest at 1,515g and takes about 10 ounces off the bike. The Zipp 404S is the deepest at 50mm with a $1,400 retail value, a lifetime warranty and crash replacement. Both carbon options are $1,000 over the base build.
Why 1x instead of 2x?
Removing the front derailleur saves about 150g, one cable and one battery, and the 13-speed 10 to 46t cassette keeps the gear range wide. The exclusive 48t aero crank is what makes it work as a road setup rather than a compromise. If you prefer traditional double gearing, the 2x AXS build is the alternative.
How wide a tire can I fit?
Up to 32mm. It ships on Vittoria Corsa N.EXT 28c tubeless ready tires, which leaves room to size up for rough roads or light mixed surface riding.
Does it come with pedals?
Not by default. Time Xpresso road pedals can be added for $105.00 or Speedplay Comp pedals for $129.99, both with cleats included. The bike takes any standard 9/16 inch threaded pedal if you already have a preferred set.
Can I assemble it myself?
It is strongly discouraged. The carbon fork steerer ships uncut and must be cut during assembly, and carbon steerers cannot be lengthened once cut. Combined with the fully internal routing, improper assembly can create unsafe riding conditions or void warranty coverage. Use an experienced bicycle mechanic.
