Eunorau NEW TRIKE 2.0 Overview
The Eunorau NEW TRIKE 2.0 is a folding electric trike for errands and longer rides on paved paths, with a low step through frame, a padded saddle with a backrest, a front basket and a large rear basket with a wooden floor. Three wheels keep it standing on its own at a stop.
A 48V 500W front hub motor makes 80 N.m. The 2.0 update brought a 48V 20Ah Samsung cell battery, about 960Wh, that Eunorau rates at 60 to 100 miles and lists as UL certified. Shimano 7 speed gearing and a half twist throttle round it out; it is a Class 2 electric bike with a 20 MPH top speed.
Built to be lived with
Hydraulic disc brakes on 180mm rotors with a parking brake, 20 x 3.0 inch Innova tires, fenders, an LED headlight and a brake taillight. There is no suspension fork; the wide tires and the padded saddle soften the ride.
Eunorau covers the motor, battery and electrical parts for 24 months and the frame for 10 years.
MORE MILES, MORE GEARS
The 2.0 update moved the battery from 13Ah to 20Ah and added hydraulic brakes, the adjustable backrest and a parking brake. At 48V that is about 960Wh. Eunorau rates it at 60 to 100 miles; the low end is closer to throttle riding with a load and hills, the high end to low assist on flat ground.
The battery mounts behind the seat tube, low and central, and has its own power switch. It charges in 4 to 6 hours on the 2A smart charger, per Eunorau, so an overnight charge covers the next day.
Shimano 7 speed gearing runs a 14 to 28 tooth freewheel with a 46 tooth chainring: low gears for a loaded climb, taller ones for flat paths.

ROOM FOR THE WEEKLY SHOP
A basket at the bars and a large alloy basket over the back wheels carry groceries, bags, a toolbox or the farmers market haul. The rear basket has a solid wooden floor, so bags sit flat and small things do not slip through the bars.
Eunorau rates the trike for 440 lb in total, counting the rider, the cargo and any accessories. Put heavy things low and centred in the rear basket and keep the front one for light things you want in reach. Shimano 7 speed gearing and 80 N.m of torque help get a loaded trike rolling from a stop.

A BASKET AT EACH END
The front basket holds the light things you want in reach: a bag, a lock, a water bottle. The heavy load goes in back, low and centred.
Plan the parking spot before it arrives. The trike is 32.7 inches wide and 68.1 inches long and weighs about 86 lb, per Eunorau. The frame and stem fold to take less room, but Eunorau does not publish a folded size, so measure gates, doorways and the garage with the unfolded width.

Key features

Hydraulic Disc Brakes
180mm rotors with motor cutoff levers and a parking brake.

Saddle With Backrest
A padded saddle 32.7 to 40.2 inches off the ground, with a backrest that adjusts.

Battery Power Switch
One switch on the 48V 20Ah battery cuts the power when the trike is parked.

Marked Seatpost
A numbered scale and a quick release clamp make the 7.5 inch seat range easy to repeat.
What it's made of
Four things that set it apart. Tap through them.

Motor
500W in the front wheel
The 48V 500W hub motor sits in the front wheel and makes 80 N.m of torque. Eunorau says it can peak above 750W for hills and quicker starts.

Battery
48V 20Ah behind the seat
The 48V 20Ah battery uses Samsung cells and mounts behind the seat tube. It charges in 4 to 6 hours on the 2A charger, per Eunorau.

Folding
Frame and stem fold
A hinge with a quick release lever folds the main frame, and the stem folds down too, so the trike takes less room in a garage or shed.

Rear basket
A wooden floor in back
The large alloy rear basket has a solid wooden base, so small things stay in and heavy bags sit flat.

Questions before buying
NEW TRIKE 2.0 or ONE TRIKE 2.0?+
Both are folding Eunorau trikes with a 500W motor, 80 N.m and a 440 lb rating. Pick the NEW TRIKE 2.0 for range and gears: a 48V 20Ah battery (Eunorau rates it at 60 to 100 miles against 50), Shimano 7 speed instead of a single speed, and 3 inch tires. Pick the ONE TRIKE 2.0 if your paths are rough: it has a 40mm suspension fork and a rear drive motor with a differential, and it costs less.
Is a trike easier to ride than a bike?+
It is easier to balance. Three wheels keep it upright at stops and at walking pace, so you never hold it up. It steers differently, though: a trike does not lean into turns, so practise in a flat, open area and slow down before corners.
How far does it go?+
Eunorau rates it at 60 to 100 miles on the 48V 20Ah battery, about 960Wh. Assist level, throttle use, rider and cargo weight, hills, wind and temperature all change it, and throttle only riding gets the least.
Can I ride it without pedaling?+
Yes. The half twist throttle moves the trike without pedaling, up to the 20 MPH Class 2 limit. Pedal assist uses a cadence sensor, so the motor starts helping once the pedals turn and the assist level sets how much.
Is it street legal?+
Eunorau lists it as a Class 2 electric bike: pedal assist plus a throttle, topping out at 20 MPH. Most states treat Class 2 like a bicycle, but rules vary by state and town, so check yours before riding on roads or paths.
How much can it carry?+
Eunorau rates it for 440 lb in total, counting the rider, the cargo and any accessories. Keep heavy things low and centred in the rear basket.
Does it have suspension?+
No. The fork is rigid. The 20 x 3.0 inch tires and the padded saddle with a backrest take the edge off rough pavement. If your paths are broken or rooty, the ONE TRIKE 2.0 has a 40mm suspension fork.
What does the parking brake do?+
It holds the trike still so it does not roll while you get on or off, or while you load the baskets on a slope. The hydraulic brakes also have levers that cut the motor.
Who does it fit?+
Eunorau fits it to riders 5'1" to 6'1". The seat sits 32.7 to 40.2 inches off the ground with a marked, quick release seatpost, the backrest height adjusts, the stem adjusts for height and angle, and the low step through frame means no leg swing over a bar.
Will it fit in my car?+
Folding helps, but Eunorau does not publish a folded size, and the trike weighs about 86 lb. It ships in a 42 x 25 x 29 inch box. Measure your trunk before planning car trips.
Does it arrive assembled?+
Not fully. It comes with tools for the last steps. It weighs about 86 lb, so plan on two people to lift it out of the box, and photograph any box damage before you unpack.
What does UL certified mean?+
It means the battery was tested by an independent lab against a published safety standard for electrical and fire risk, which matters for a battery you charge at home. Eunorau lists the NEW TRIKE 2.0 battery as UL certified.
What is the warranty?+
Eunorau covers the motor, battery and electrical parts for 24 months and the frame for 10 years, for the original owner. Wear parts such as brake pads, rotors, tires, chains and grips are not covered, and neither are crashes, stunt riding or racing. Eunorau asks you to register the bike right after purchase and to have it checked by a Eunorau dealer after the first year. We are an authorized dealer, so the warranty applies.
Deep Crimson, Teal Blue or Cloud White?+
Same trike, same price. The frame and both baskets take the colour; the tires, saddle and backrest are black on all three.
