Eunorau R1+ Overview
The Eunorau R1+ is an electric dirt bike, not a bicycle. There are no pedals: you stand on footpegs, twist the throttle, and a 72V 5,000W mid motor, 17,000W at peak with 500 N.m of torque, drives the rear wheel by chain. Eunorau rates it at 59 MPH and a 50 degree climb.
The removable 72V 40Ah battery holds 2,880 watt hours of Samsung cells, is UL certified per Eunorau, and is good for up to 75 miles by Eunorau's figure, ridden under 16 MPH. The 72V 10A charger in the box refills it in about 4 hours. A Fastace fork with 200mm of travel and a coil shock with 85mm carry a 19 inch front and 18 inch rear wheel, with 4 piston hydraulic brakes on 220mm and 203mm rotors.
It is for private land and off road trails only. Eunorau sizes it for riders 5'2" to 6'4", and at 150 lb it takes two people to lift into a truck. Want less power, a lower price or a smaller size? See the Eunorau R1, in Compact or Full Size.
Built to be lived with
An aluminium alloy frame on a Fastace 200mm fork with high and low speed compression damping and an 85mm coil rear shock, on CST 70/100 19 front and 90/90 18 rear tires with stainless spokes. The seat sits 33.1 inches up on a 50.4 inch wheelbase, with 10.6 inches of ground clearance.
A square LED headlight, a rear brake light, a horn, a USB and a Type C port for your phone, and brake levers that cut the motor all come on the bike. IP65 by Eunorau, and 24 months on the motor, battery and electrical parts.
17,000W AT PEAK
The motor sits low in the middle of the frame and drives the rear wheel by chain. Eunorau rates it at 5,000W, 17,000W at peak, with 500 N.m of torque, and quotes a 59 MPH top speed and a 50 degree climb. Rated is what it holds under steady load; peak is the burst when you open the throttle.
Three modes on the left grip: Eco, Sports and Sports+. Sports and Sports+ add regen, which Eunorau says recovers energy as you slow. The brake levers cut the motor the moment you squeeze them.

A UL CERTIFIED BATTERY
Eunorau lists the R1+ battery as UL certified. That means the pack was tested by an independent lab against a published safety standard for electrical and fire risk, which matters for a 72V battery you charge in the garage.
It holds 2,880 watt hours of Samsung cells and lifts out of the frame to charge indoors. The 72V 10A charger in the box refills it in about 4 hours, by Eunorau. The 75 miles is measured under 16 MPH; ride it hard in Sports+ and expect a good deal less.

Four things that set it apart. Tap through them.

Controls
Three modes and a horn
A pad by the left grip holds the Eco, Sports and Sports+ mode buttons and the horn. Sports and Sports+ add regen, which Eunorau says recovers energy as you slow. The small display sits beside it with plus and minus buttons.

Headlight
A square LED headlight
Four LED lenses in a square housing above the number plate, for rides that run past sunset.

Brake light
A brake light out back
A red LED under the rear fender comes on when you brake, so the rider behind you knows.

Charging ports
USB and Type C ports
A USB port and a Type C port, 5V at 2400mA, under a rubber cap. They keep a phone or a GPS charged on the trail.
Size and geometry
A is ground clearance, 10.6 inches. B is the wheelbase, 50.4 inches. C is seat height, 33.1 inches. D is the length, 74.4 inches. Eunorau fits it to riders 5'2" to 6'4".

Questions before buying
R1+ or R1?+
The R1+ is the stronger bike: a 5,000W motor with 17,000W at peak and 500 N.m, a bigger 72V 40Ah battery, a 220mm front rotor and 59 MPH. The R1 peaks at 8,000W, reaches 55 MPH, costs less and comes Compact or Full Size. If this is your first dirt bike, the R1 is plenty.
What does UL certified mean?+
It means the battery was tested by an independent lab against a published safety standard for electrical and fire risk, which matters for a 72V battery you charge in the garage. Eunorau lists the R1+ battery as UL certified.
Is it street legal?+
No. Eunorau sells the R1+ as an off road dirt bike. It has no pedals and reaches 59 MPH, so it is not an electric bicycle under any state's rules. Ride it on private land or on trails that allow dirt bikes, and check your local rules first.
How fast and how far does it go?+
Eunorau rates it at 59 MPH and up to 75 miles, and the range figure is measured under 16 MPH. Rider weight, hills, soft ground and a heavy throttle hand all bring it down, so plan on a good deal less when you ride it hard.
How long does it take to charge?+
About 4 hours from empty with the 72V 10A charger in the box, by Eunorau. The battery lifts out of the frame, so it can charge indoors while the bike stays in the garage.
Does it arrive assembled?+
Not fully. It comes in one box the length of the bike, 74 by 31 by 43 inches, with a tool kit, and Eunorau posts assembly videos for the final steps. The bike weighs 150 lb, so have a second person there to lift it out, and photograph any box damage before you unpack.
Can I ride it in the rain?+
Yes. Eunorau rates the bike IP65, which means it is sealed against dust and against water jets from any direction, so rain, mud and puddles are fine. Do not ride through deep water or submerge it: Eunorau's warranty does not cover damage from abnormal exposure to liquid.
What is the warranty?+
Eunorau covers the motor, battery and electrical parts for 24 months, for the original owner. Wear parts such as brake pads, rotors, tires, chains and grips are not covered, and neither are crashes, stunt riding or racing. Eunorau asks you to register the bike right after purchase and to have it checked by a Eunorau dealer after the first year. We are an authorized dealer, so the warranty applies.
Is this the same bike as the Rerode R1+?+
Yes. Eunorau sells it as the Eunorau x Rerode R1+, and the bike carries both names on its body panels. Reviewers mostly call it the Rerode R1+.
Black or Maple?+
Same bike, same price. Black has black body panels with white and grey R1+ graphics. Maple puts a woodland camo print on the frame and the body panels; the seat stays black on both.
Who does it fit?+
Eunorau fits it to riders 5'2" to 6'4". The seat is 33.1 inches off the ground and the bike weighs 150 lb, so it is an adult size machine. For a lower seat on smaller wheels, see the R1 Compact.
