State Bicycle Co. Titanium Track
Grade 9 Titanium Fixed Gear & Single-Speed Bike, Carbon Fork.
"Titanium at $1,599.99. It Outlasts Everything Bolted To It."
The State Bicycle Co. Titanium Track is a titanium fixed gear bike built from straight gauge Grade 9 (3Al/2.5V) aero formed tubing, with Grade 5 (6Al/4V) titanium dropouts, bottom bracket shell and head tube, and a full carbon fork. Titanium does not rust, corrode or fatigue the way steel and aluminum do.
Most titanium bikes start above three thousand dollars. This one runs a 48x17 ratio, internal cable routing, a sealed flip-flop hub and clearance for tires up to 38c, in a raw sandblasted finish with polished titanium logos that has no paint to chip and no decals to fade.
"Titanium is the one frame material that genuinely outlives its components. It does not fatigue like aluminum or rust like steel, and the sandblasted finish means scratches blend in rather than becoming rust spots. Buying titanium at this price is buying the last frame you need, and the aero formed tubing is work most brands at any price skip."
BUILT FOR RIDERS WHO
- You want a frame that will still be going in twenty years rather than one you replace every few seasons
- You lock up outside and are tired of watching paint chip and steel rust at every scratch
- You want the direct, connected feel of fixed gear riding with the option to flip to a freewheel
- You ride real city streets and want room for wider tires than a classic track frame allows
- You have looked at titanium before and stopped at the three thousand dollar price tag
AERO-FORMED, NOT OFF THE SHELF
Grade 9 Tubing, Grade 5 Junctions
Most titanium frames in this price bracket use plain round stock tubing. Every Ti Track tube is aero formed by State's production team, shaped for stiffness and ride quality rather than bought ready made. It is slower to produce and harder to get right, which is precisely why it is rare.
The main tubes are straight gauge Grade 9 (3Al/2.5V) titanium, while the dropouts, bottom bracket shell and head tube step up to harder Grade 5 (6Al/4V) where loads concentrate. The finish is sandblasted raw titanium with polished titanium logos, so there is no paint to chip and nothing to fade.
A TRACK BIKE THAT TAKES 38C
19mm Internal Rims, Carbon Fork
Classic track geometry usually means narrow tires and a punishing ride on real roads. The Ti Track is built around wider 19mm internal width rims and enough frame and fork clearance for tires up to a recommended 38c, so it handles broken city pavement and rough tarmac without complaint.
A full carbon fibre fork and steerer takes the edge off the front end, and the sealed low flange flip-flop hub lets you ride fixed or add a freewheel and coast. It ships on Vittoria 30c tires with front and rear caliper brakes fitted.
KEY FEATURES
Grade 5 Titanium Dropouts
Horizontal dropouts machined from harder Grade 5 (6Al/4V) titanium, where chain tension and wheel loads concentrate. They set chain tension without a tensioner and will not wear like alloy.
CNC 144 BCD Crankset
The Black Label v3 crank with a CNC machined 48t chainring on a 144 BCD pattern, so swapping to a different ratio later is straightforward. 170mm arms across all sizes.
Internal Cable Routing
Brake cables run inside the frame for a clean line and protection from road spray and grit, which keeps braking feel consistent through winter.
Choose Drops or Risers
Compact drop bars for a lower, faster position, or wide riser bars with Vans grips for upright control in traffic. Both on an oversized 31.8mm clamp, chosen at no extra cost.
48x17 Urban Ratio
Geared for city riding rather than the velodrome: quick away from lights, comfortable at cruising speed, and with unlimited skid patches for riders who still ride brakeless.
Caliper Brakes Included
Front and rear caliper hand brakes come fitted. Most track frames ship without brakes and leave you sourcing a set before the bike is legal to ride on the street.
WHY THIS BUILD MATTERS
Titanium Does Not Fatigue
Aluminum has a fatigue life and steel rusts from the first deep scratch. Titanium does neither, which is why this frame is designed to outlast every component you will ever bolt to it.
No Paint to Ruin
The sandblasted raw finish with polished titanium logos has nothing to chip or fade. Scuffs from bike racks blend into the finish instead of turning into rust.
Titanium Without the Usual Price
Titanium frames normally start above $3,000. At $1,599.99 complete, this is the most accessible route into a titanium frame, carbon fork and brakes included.

Which size should I choose?
49cm fits riders 5 feet 1 to 5 feet 5 (26.5 to 28 inch inseam), 52cm fits 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 9, 55cm fits 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 11, 58cm fits 5 feet 10 to 6 feet 2, and 61cm fits 6 feet 1 to 6 feet 5. Full measurements for every size are in the geometry chart above.
Why titanium instead of steel or aluminum?
Titanium does not rust, does not corrode and does not fatigue the way aluminum does. It also absorbs road vibration better than aluminum, so long rides are less tiring. Practically, it means a frame that stays sound long after its components have been replaced.
Can I ride it as a single speed rather than fixed?
Yes. The sealed low flange hub is a flip-flop design and ships with a 17T fixed cog and lockring fitted. Adding a freewheel to the other side lets you coast. Note the freewheel itself is not included.
How wide a tire can I fit?
It ships on Vittoria 30c tires and State recommends a maximum of 35c. Riders have fitted 38 to 40c, but that depends on the wheel and tire brand, and a larger tire may need a longer chain to keep clearance.
Does it come with brakes and pedals?
Brakes yes, pedals no. Front and rear caliper hand brakes are included and fitted. Pedals are not included, so choose a set to suit how you ride.
Is it ready to ride on arrival?
It arrives boxed and needs professional assembly before riding. All State titanium and carbon bikes are built and shipped from their facility in Phoenix, Arizona.
