Philodo Falcon Overview

The Philodo Falcon is a 60V dual motor fat tire e-bike: a 2000W hub motor in each wheel for 5000W at peak and 2 x 105 N.m of torque, a removable 60V 32Ah battery with LG cells, and full suspension with a lockout fork and a rear air shock. Philodo puts it at 40 to 45 MPH and 50 to 100 miles.

It comes as a step over with 26 x 4 tires for riders 5'5" to 6'5", or a step thru on 24 x 4 tires for 5'2" to 6'2". Both carry a 450 lb payload, hydraulic brakes front and rear, a 700 lumen headlight with a horn, a brake light, fenders and a rack rated to 150 lb.

It is a preorder at Philodo and ships in about two weeks. Above 28 MPH it is an off road machine, and it is sold as one.

Built to be lived with

A 6061 aluminium frame in two shapes: an 18 inch step over on 26 x 4 Chaoyang puncture resistant tires, or a 17 inch step thru on 24 x 4. Lockout front fork, rear air shock, Prowheel 52T crank and a soft ergonomic saddle.

A 3.7 inch display, 700 lumen headlight with horn, brake light, brake levers that cut the motors, fenders, mirrors and a 150 lb rack all ship on the bike. Frame, battery and parts are covered for one year.

TWO MOTORS, SWITCH AT THE BAR

A 2000W hub motor in each wheel, each with its own 27A controller, 5000W together at peak and 2 x 105 N.m of torque. That is all wheel drive: the front wheel pulls while the rear pushes, which is what gets a 450 lb load up a loose hill.

You switch between single and dual motor from the handlebar. Single for the road and for range, dual for the climb. Three ways to ride: throttle only, pedal assist, or pedal with no motor at all.

TWO MOTORS, SWITCH AT THE BAR

60 VOLTS, 32 AMP HOURS

The battery is a 60V 32Ah pack, 1920 watt hours, built with LG cells and UL certified. It slides out of the down tube with a key and weighs 16.6 lb on its own. Philodo estimates 50 to 100 miles from it, single motor on the low end of assist.

The 67.2V 2.5A charger takes 10 to 12 hours for a full charge, and Philodo rates the pack for 1000 cycles. A rack rated to 150 lb and a 450 lb payload mean the bike is the truck.

Questions before buying

What does dual motor mean?

A 2000W hub motor in each wheel, 5000W together at peak, switchable between single and dual motor modes. Run one motor on the flat to save the battery and both for climbs, sand or mud.

Is 40 to 45 MPH legal?

Not on most public roads. Above 28 MPH this is an off road vehicle in the eyes of US e-bike law, and Philodo says so itself. Ride it on private land and trails that allow it, and use pedal assist or a limited mode on the road. Speed also depends on rider weight, battery charge and terrain.

How far does it really go?

Philodo says 50 to 100 miles. The high end is one motor, low assist, a light rider and flat ground. Dual motor on the throttle at speed will be a fraction of that. The 1920Wh pack is the biggest Philodo sells, which is why the Falcon has the widest range of the three.

Step thru or step over?

The step thru is a 17 inch frame on 24 x 4 tires for riders 5'2" to 6'2". The step over is 18 inch on 26 x 4 for 5'5" to 6'5". Same motors, battery and payload.

Is it a preorder?

Yes. Philodo lists the Falcon as a preorder that ships in about two weeks, and that is the timing we quote.

What is the warranty?

Love it! I have almost a hundred miles on it

Love it! I have almost a hundred miles on it after 1 week. Tons of power. Very comfortable. And extremely long battery life. This is my 3rd Ebike and so far it is my favorite. My last bike was a Stromer ST2 and surprisingly this bike is built just as well and is more fun to ride.

This isn’t really a review

This isn’t really a review. But I want to see the guys that really use you philodo falcon in the hunting world review. I use and abuse my bikes. Loaded down with a deer on a deer cart strapped to the back having to walk beside the bike and guide it up hills and ditch sides, over rocks and logs. I see where some you say it climbs hills with ease. But I want to see reviews of people who have really abused it with a load behind it. Is the torque there for that?

6-Month Ebike Review: Best Commuter Upgrade I’ve Made

After six months with my ebike, I can confidently say it’s been a total game-changer for my daily commute—hills are a joke now, and I actually look forward to skipping traffic. The battery still holds up great, though I’d warn you to keep an eye on tire pressure more than you think, and maybe invest in a better saddle if you're riding every day. Overall, best money I’ve spent in years—just don’t be that guy who never pedals and expects a workout.
