79Bike Falcon GT Overview
The 79Bike Falcon GT is an electric dirt bike, not a bicycle. No pedals, no gears, no clutch: you stand on the footpegs, twist the throttle, and a 72V mid mounted motor rated at 16,000W peak and 610 N.m drives the rear wheel by chain. 79Bike quotes 59 MPH.
The 72V 40Ah battery holds 2,880 watt hours of Samsung 50S cells, good for about 75 miles by 79Bike's figure, and recharges in 3 to 4 hours. A Fastace fork with high and low speed compression damping and 200mm of travel carries a 19 inch front wheel; an 85mm rear shock carries the 18 inch rear. Hydraulic brakes on 220mm rotors at both ends.
It is for private land and off road trails only, for riders 18 and up. At 152 lb it takes two people to lift into a truck. Want less weight and a lower price? See the Falcon Pro.
Built to be lived with
A triple beam forged aluminum frame on a Fastace fork with high and low speed compression damping and an 85mm rear shock, on 70/100 19 front and 90/90 18 rear tires. The seat sits 32.3 inches up on a 49.6 inch wheelbase.
Hydraulic brakes on 220mm rotors, a lit motor ring, a bigger dashboard with NFC start and a park mode all come on the bike. 12 months on the frame, motor, battery and electrics from 79Bike.
16,000W AT PEAK
The motor sits low in the middle of the frame and drives the rear wheel by chain. 79Bike rates it at 16,000W at peak with 610 N.m of torque and quotes a 59 MPH top speed. Its compare table lists the same motor at 16.8 kW, so treat 16,000W as the round number. Peak is the burst when you open the throttle; the bike holds less under steady load.
There are no gears and no clutch. A controller 79Bike developed in house runs the motor with field oriented control, which is what makes the throttle feel smooth from a standstill, and electronic braking slows the bike when you roll off. Fewer things to think about, more attention on the trail.

A 72V 40AH SAMSUNG BATTERY
2,880 watt hours of Samsung 50S cells behind the side panel, which 79Bike picked for long cycle life and steady power delivery. It is the biggest pack in the 79Bike line, shared with the Lynx.
79Bike quotes about 75 miles (120 km) on a charge and 3 to 4 hours to refill from the charger in the box. Ride it hard at 59 MPH and expect a good deal less.

What it's made of
Four things that set it apart. Tap through them.

Motor
16,000W at peak, with a light ring
The mid mounted motor sits low in the frame and drives the rear wheel by chain. 79Bike rates it at 16,000W peak with 610 N.m of torque and gives it electronic braking, which slows the bike when you roll off the throttle. The orange ring around the motor cover lights up with the bike.

Battery
72V 40Ah of Samsung 50S cells
2,880 watt hours behind the side panel of a triple beam forged aluminum frame. 79Bike quotes about 75 miles (120 km) and a 3 to 4 hour charge from the charger in the box.

Dashboard
A bigger dashboard and NFC start
The display shows speed, mode, battery and a P for park. Tap your phone or the NFC card on the dash to unlock the bike, the way a hotel key card opens a door. No key to lose on the trail.

Fork
Fastace fork, four way adjustable
Preload and rebound like the Falcon Pro, plus high and low speed compression tuning and a low friction coating on the black inner tubes, per 79Bike. 200mm of travel on a 19 inch front wheel.

Questions before buying
Falcon GT, Falcon Pro or Lynx?+
The Falcon GT is the strongest of the three: 16,000W at peak, 610 N.m, a 72V 40Ah Samsung battery, 220mm rotors, a four way adjustable Fastace fork and 59 MPH. The Falcon Pro is lighter at 130 lb with 10,000W peak and 56 MPH, and costs less. The Lynx sits between them with 12,000W peak, a 72V 40Ah battery and a built in Bluetooth speaker.
Is it street legal?+
No. 79Bike sells the Falcon GT as an off road electric dirt bike. It has no pedals and reaches 59 MPH, so it is not an electric bicycle under any state's rules. Ride it on private land or on trails that allow dirt bikes, and check your local rules first.
How fast and how far does it go?+
79Bike rates it at 59 MPH and about 75 miles (120 km) on the 72V 40Ah battery. Rider weight, hills, soft ground and a heavy throttle hand all bring the range down, so plan on a good deal less when you ride it hard.
How long does it take to charge?+
3 to 4 hours from empty with the charger in the box, by 79Bike. The battery sits behind the side panel of the frame.
Does it arrive assembled?+
79Bike does not publish assembly details for the Falcon GT. Expect some final assembly and have a second person there when it arrives: the bike weighs 152 lb with its battery. Photograph any box damage before you unpack and tell us within 3 days of delivery.
Can I ride it in the rain?+
79Bike does not publish a water rating for the Falcon GT, and its warranty does not cover damage from abnormal exposure to liquid. Damp trails and splashes are what a dirt bike is for; keep it out of deep water and do not hose down the motor or battery.
What is the warranty?+
79Bike covers the frame, motor, battery, controller, display, throttle, lights and wiring for 12 months from delivery, for the original owner. Crashes, stunt riding, racing, wear parts and any modification are not covered. We are an authorized dealer, so the warranty applies, and we handle the claim with 79Bike for you.
White or Black?+
Same bike, same price. White has a white frame and body panels with a black seat; Black is black throughout. Both get the gold chain and the black Fastace fork.
Who is it for?+
79Bike recommends it for riders 18 and up. The seat is 32.3 inches off the ground on a 49.6 inch wheelbase, and at 152 lb it is an adult size machine that takes two people to lift into a truck.
